Last week I got a call from a photo editor at The Times of London requesting to license use of one of two photographs of an opera singer, Julia Kogan, who had starred as The Queen of the Night in Indianapolis Opera's, "The a Magic Flute". I was grateful to quickly find and send the photographs. Today, I read the story and marveled at the force of illustration. I hope this image helps motivate a just resolution to the legal case. Interestingly, the other image I sent, showed The queen unarmed with her hands up in a somewhat pleading gesture. I had no idea of the legal case when I submitted my photographs. I assumed they were simply featuring a great singer. The beat goes on...
